Don't think this thin layer will last for three hours, never mind three days ! The forecast did suggest a larger quantity of snow than this sprinkling. It was gone in a few hours.

AJSMOC members and guests are enjoying their seasonal holiday meal at the Robin Hood Inn, the food and company were both very good. The efforts to accommodate the 20 or so dinners and their meal choices made by the chefs and other staff were much appreciated by all attending. Next meeting will be on the 7th January 2025 - held back a week to accommodate the New Year celebrations.

AJSMOC members, with some guests, arriving at the Robin Hood Inn for their winter solstice meal. The menu had various seasonal options in the three courses, as expected it was all top notch. We've taken over half the tables in the main bar area, instead of sitting in the "snug" - with 20 people booked in and the new branch mascot ... we needed the extra space.

We've decorated our tree for the 2022 winter solstice. A pot-grown Nordman Fir - the one that doesn't drop mature needles. It has grown a little bit since the winter of 2021, but the drought rather held it back - that and it really needs a slightly bigger pot.
