Saw the enclosing bench, but it wasn't until later that I went over to have a short sit down, after reading the plaque on the little stone pillar. [see later image}

Looking across a small part of the village green to the church, the old school is to the left.

Under a tree on the village green, outside the "Bird in Bush" we found these tables, sadly it wasn't warm enough to eat outside, but we found that the pub was dog-friendly, so had our lunch inside. Note: the oak on the background, apart from the circular bench, the stone pillar has a commemorative plaque - see other images for detail.
