Green leaves turn orange when they get old because as the leaf ages, the chlorophyll (the green pigment responsible for photosynthesis) breaks down, revealing other pigments like carotenoids which are naturally yellow and orange, that were always present in the leaf but masked by the green color

The genus name Moringa derives from the Tamil word, murungai, meaning "twisted pod", alluding to the young fruit.[12] The specific name oleifera is derived from the Latin words oleum "oil" and ferre "to bear".[9]
The plant has numerous common names across regions where it is cultivated, with drumstick tree, horseradish tree, or simply moringa used in English.[2][3

That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.
In me thou see’st the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west;
Which by and by black night doth take away,
Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest.
In me thou see’st the glowing of such fire,
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the deathbed whereon it must expire,
Consumed with that which it was nourished by.
This thou perceiv’st, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.
~ Shakespeare

In the morning light,
I remembered how much I loved
the sound of wind through the trees.
I laid back and closed my eyes,
and I was comforted by the sound of
a million tiny leaves dancing on a summer morning.

A tree's leaves may be ever so good,
So may its bark, so may its wood;
But unless you put the right thing to its root
It never will show much flower or fruit.
But I may be one who does not care
Ever to have tree bloom or bear.
Leaves for smooth and bark for rough,
Leaves and bark may be tree enough.
Some giant trees have bloom so small
They might as well have none at all.
Late in life I have come on fern.
Now lichens are due to have their turn.
I bade men tell me which in brief,
Which is fairer, flower or leaf.
They did not have the wit to say,
Leaves by night and flowers by day.
Leaves and bar, leaves and bark,
To lean against and hear in the dark.
Petals I may have once pursued.
Leaves are all my darker mood.

“When fall comes to town,
lovers, letters, and leaves
reunite on the sidewalks,
broken, burnt, and brown.”

Both the stems and the leaves of stinging nettles are covered by structures that look like hairs but are delicate and hollow. These “hairs” act like needles when they come into contact with the skin. Chemicals flow through them into the skin, which causes a stinging sensation and a rash

"Ah! the year is slowly dying,
And the wind in tree-top sighing,
Chant his requiem.
Thick and fast the leaves are falling,
High in air wild birds are calling,
Nature's solemn hymn."
