Published by Mayflower-Dell (2895-8) in 1967. Baker re-wrote a lot of his "Sexton Blake" stories, turning them into "Richard Quintain" stories - this being one of them. It originally appeared as "The Studio One Murder" in Issue 504 of the "Sexton Blake Library" series in 1962.

First published in the U.S. by Berkley in 1969. The U.K. edition published by Five Star in 1972. Peter Saxon was originally a pseudonym of W. Howard Baker but it became a house name when Baker took over the editorial reins of the Sexton Blake line. At least five other authors published as Peter Saxon - Wilfred McNeilly, Martin Thomas, Rex Dolphin, Stephen D. Frances and Ross Richards - this particular novel was by Baker himself.
