Sanary-sur-Mer (in occitano provenzale: Sant Nari de Mar) Sanary ha una bellissima costa con piccole spiagge; a differenza di altri borghi della costa Mediterranea, è un villaggio attivo tutto l'anno. È probabilmente il luogo più soleggiato in Francia, con una media di soli 61 giorni di pioggia, soprattutto in inverno, e radiazione solare di 6156 MJ/m²/anno, paragonabile alla Sicilia. Sanary è regolarmente spazzata dal Mistral, un forte vento proveniente dalla Valle del Rodano che porta bassa umidità intorno al 20%, raffiche fino a 130 km/h, temperature molto fresche, sole e cielo azzurro profondo. Il vento è forte, in media, 115 giorni all'anno, e raggiunge livelli da tempesta 8 giorni l'anno, rendendo Sanary una delle mete preferite per gli appassionati di windsurf. A un anno esatto dal crollo del Ponte Morandi, che ha causato 43 morti e grande commozione in tutto il Paese, un mio omaggio e un ricordo per chi non c'è più. Questa struttura (il Bigo) che ospita un ascensore panoramico, è stata progettata da Renzo Piano che è anche il progettista del nuovo ponte la cui costruzione sta iniziando in questi giorni.
