Echinopsis Eyriesii Come tutto il genere a cui appartiene, essa proviene dall'America meridionale; più precisamente il suo areale è rappresentato dalle pianure del Gran Chaco e delle "pampas" settentrionali (Argentina settentrionale, Bolivia, Brasile meridionale estremo, Uruguay, Paraguay).
