Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (in occitano L'Illa de Sòrga) è nota anche come la “Venise comtadine” per i suoi numerosi canali lungo i quali sorgono anche delle case. Ma i suoi canali hanno avuto in passato anche una grande importanza industriale, fornendo energia a numerose attività tessili e cartiere. Questa è una delle tantissime ruote (una volta erano 70) che venivano usate a questo scopo. C'è anche un Percorso delle Ruote , un itinerario interamente pedonale, che si snoda per oltre 2 chilometri andando a toccare alcuni dei luoghi più pittoreschi che caratterizzano questa bella località provenzale. (ho messo in cartina un po' a caso poiché non ricordo l'esatta posizione)
