Francia - Arles - Espace Van Gogh in nota uno di quei fiori ;-) History: The huge quadrilateral building of the Hôtel-Dieu was built in the 16th and 17th centuries during a period of great prosperity and modernisation in the city. In keeping with the city's tradition of hospitality, the Hôtel-Dieu was host to a famous inmate in the person of Vincent Van Gogh (he was committed here after the infamous episode of cutting off his left earlobe in December 1888) , who painted several pictures of it. The courtyard has been extensively planted out to resemble as closely as possible his famous painting "Le Jardin de l'Hôtel de Dieu". Visitar Santa Maria de Ripoll és acostar-se a un dels edificis més bells i evocadors de Catalunya. La portalada, la basílica i el claustre, en fan un conjunt únic, un gaudi per als amants de l’art. Ripoll, monestir de patronatge comtal, va ser fundat vers el 879-880 per Guifré el Pelós, comte d’Urgell, Cerdanya, Girona-Besalú i Barcelona, dins un pla molt ambiciós d’afermament del seu poder a l’alta vall del Ter i en territoris de més al sud, que des de la revolta d’Aissó (826-827) havien restat desorganitzats i amb una població molt minsa. St. Paul de Mausole, St-Rémy-de-Provence, France Questo (altra visione qui sotto) è il chiostro del monastero trasformato in ospedale psichiatrico che ospitò per circa un anno Van Gogh, dopo che il genio tormentato si era amputato l’orecchio ad Arles. In quel lasso di tempo dipinse 150 opere tra oli e acquerelli, alcune delle quali capolavori immortali. L'ospedale è attivo ancora oggi, con ben altri metodi di cura; tra questi anche la arte-terapia, ritenuta molto utile alla riabilitazione dei malati. La parte visitabile è ovviamente molto limitata, in essa è stata anche ricostruita la camera di Van Gogh che in realtà si trovava in un'altra zona.
