Cases del Riu Onyar Un dels majors atractius de la ciutat de Girona es troba davant del Riu Onyar, concretament, les cases penjants. Centenars de cases suspeses pràcticament sobre el riu formant un enorme rusc desordenat a banda i banda de l’aigua. Cadascuna té la seva forma i estil però aquest caos el fa més autèntic i característic. Des de qualsevol dels ponts que travessen el riu podreu veure aquest espectacle de colors. to crop or not to crop ? this is the problem ;-))) PiP Questo ponte fu costruito da Eiffel nel 1877, prima della sua famosa torre. L'opera era stata progettata dall'ingegnere francese per essere posta all'interno della sua abitazione parigina. In seguito la città di Girona decise di acquistarla per sostituire un'antica passerella di legno rossa (come il colore del ponte) costruita sul fiume Onyar dai pescatori ed è per questo che è anche conosciuto come Pont de les Peixateries Velles, o il Ponte dei Pescatori Do not use my images on websites, blogs or other media without my explicit written permission. there was a storm on background of this beautiful square designed and built in XIX Century. Questa è la bella Plaça de la Independència, una piazza porticata del XIX secolo al centro della quale sorge il monumento ai caduti durante la dominazione napoleonica della città. È in questo quartiere che si trovano la maggior parte dei locali di Girona, facendo di questo luogo il cuore pulsante della vita notturna gironina. The Plaça de la Independència, which refers to the War of Spanish Independence against Napoleon Bonaparte, is one of the best known and most frequented places in Girona. Located in Mercadal district in the city centre, is also known as Plaça de Sant Agustí, because formerly the Convent of Sant Agustí had been raised there. The interest of the square lies 19th-century style, despite it is surrounded by austere identical neoclassical buildings with porches dedicated to the defenders of the city of Girona during the sieges of 1808 and 1809. However, the symmetrical proportions of square corresponds more to current interventions than its architectural past. The municipal architect Marí Sureda was the first who thought up an arcaded square with loops closed and neoclassical, with some buildings having the same aesthetic proportions. The urbanization of the area only followed in part their schemes. The construction of the first theatres in this city, broke down the idea of Martí Sureda. Until the 18th century, what that architect had imagined could not be completed. This part of the city in Noucentisme style is a romantic and timeless creation, from one century to another, nowadays captivates inhabitants and visitors. Pont de les Peixateries Velles Tra i vari ponti che attraversano il fiume Onyar, ce n'è uno molto particolare, in ferro dipinto di rosso, che si trova proprio in corrispondenza delle cases penjades. È il ponte Eiffel, un ponte di ferro costruito da Gustave Eiffel nel 1877, lo stesso ingegnere che dopo qualche anno ideò la torre di Parigi. L'opera era stata progettata dall'ingegnere francese per essere posta all'interno della sua abitazione parigina. In seguito la città di Girona decise di acquistarla per sostituire un'antica pedana di legno rossa (come il colore del ponte) costruita sul fiume Onyar dai pescatori. Una iscrizione sul ponte recita: « Questo ponte venne costruito nell'anno 1877 per la casa di G. Eiffel di Parigi, fu installato in questo luogo dove prima c'erano delle passerelle rosse.
