Baldonnel 15/05/2009. In 1978 the Air Corps acquired ex French Air Force Fouga CM.170 serial number 79 (3-KE) for use as an instructional airframe and it was assigned serial 221 (although this was never worn). The fuselage is now preserved in the museum hangar and its c/n plate shows a construction date of 25/09/52.

'Fox 265' in the circuit at Baldonnel 28/09/09. Just two weeks later this aircraft was destroyed when it crashed in Co.Galway with the loss of both crewmen. May they rest in peace.
