Baldonnel 15/05/2009. In 1978 the Air Corps acquired ex French Air Force Fouga CM.170 serial number 79 (3-KE) for use as an instructional airframe and it was assigned serial 221 (although this was never worn). The fuselage is now preserved in the museum hangar and its c/n plate shows a construction date of 25/09/52.

This former French Air Force Fouga was acquired by the Air Corps as an instructional airframe. It has been stored in the Museum hangar for several years beside the fuselages of Chipmunks 172 & 199 - Baldonnel 15/05/09.
