Dulles 19/05/08. Blink and you miss them! Ted Airlines was set up by United in 2004 to compete in the low cost airline market. At its peak it operated 57 A320s in a 156-seat all-economy configuration. However, in June 2008 due to the economic downturn United announced that the Ted brand would be discontinued with the A320s being incorporated back into United's regular fleet.

EIN119 climbing out from Dublin en route Washington Dulles - 10/05/09. The contrail in the background had just been left by a Virgin B747. Three days later EWR was withdrawn from Aer Lingus service for return to its leasing company and was ferried to Filton to be painted all white.
