Sounds like a refugee from some inane TV reality show, but is, in fact, the Latin name for a Red Admiral butterfly. The welcome sun on this day brought these out in numbers, and I managed to nail this fine specimen down for long enough to get a photo. Ravenglass. Sat15Oct11
