DBS 66085 powers through Heald Green with 4L56 1317 Manchester Trafford Park to London Gateway, near Thurrock in Essex. As it passed through the station I noticed clouds of smoke pouring from the brakes of one of the wagons at the rear of the train. I mentioned this to the lady in the booking office, who later told me that the train was halted just up the line at Wilmslow. This resulted in the 3 other freight trains and one light engine I'd gone out to photograph were diverted via an alternative route. Checking the times later, I discovered that the train was sat at Wilmslow for about 70 minutes, and eventually arrived at its destination over 2 hours late. Mon28Jul14.
