North British Loco Type 2/Class 22 No D6340 dumped out of use at Bristol Marsh Jn, on Sat31Jul71. The loco was cut up the following year at Swindon Works, after a service life of just 9 years.

North British diesel hydraulic Type 2 No D6309 with a local freight at Truro, 3Jul67. Built in January 1960, it lasted just 11 years and was scrapped December 1971 at Swindon.

North British Type 2 No D6301 stands at Plymouth on 26Jul67.
Entering service in February 1959, this loco had the dubious distinction of being the first of the type to be withdrawn, in December 1967, and cut up in August the following year at Cohens of Morriston.
