BR Doncaster built 204hp 0-6-0 shunter No D2087 - or whats left of it - stands dumped at Landore (Swansea) on Sun19Mar72.
Withdrawn in June of the previous year, it lingered on until March 1973 when it was cut up. These locos were later classed as 03, but this example didn't live long enough to become 03087.
The adjacent Brush Type 4 had a number of subsequent identities:- 1665 47080 47838 and finishing up as 47779.

BR Doncaster built 2110 at Newcastle. This was withdrawn from Gateshead in February 1976 as 03110, and cut up later that year at Cohens of Kettering.

Bells and whistles

Fitted with bells, flashing lights and associated pipework for hauling trains of 4TC stock on Boat Trains from Waterloo, D2086 is seen shunting at Weymouth Quay. It later migrated to Birkenhead and withdrawn, as 03086, in September 1983 and scrapped at Doncaster Works in March 1984.

A view from opposite the entrance/exit from Plymouth Laira, as D2197 flaps past with a short freight. Withdrawn as 03197 from Norwich in July1987, it survives to this day and can be seen on the Lavender Line at Isfield.
