Another shot from our recent visit to Kenilworth Castle about an hours drive from Leicester. The castle is a very atmospheric set of ruins today but in the Middle Ages up to the mid-17th century it was a very important & impressive palace. The Civil War was its undoing and although it was never attacked the keep was slighted on the orders of Parliament to stop it being used in future. HWW everyone. Enjoy your day..

The castle is a very atmospheric set of ruins today but in the Middle Ages up to the mid-17th century it was a very important & impressive palace.
