The view from the top of the Saltburn Cliff Lift, the oldest operating water-balance cliff funicular railway in the UK with Saltburn pier, the beach and the (amazingly blue) North Sea beyond. The pier opened in 1869 and the funicular in 1884. Unfortunately for us the tramway wasn't working for technical reasons which meant lots of steps down & back up too! HFF to everybody.
