A grey day made brighter by the platform floral display at Wansford station. The old station building on platform three was built by the Northampton and Peterborough Railway in 1844/5 for the opening of the line in a Jacobean style with ornate stone masonry. It was finally purchased by the Nene Valley Railway in 2015 but still needs a lot of work. 1958-vintage Swedish Railcar Y7 No 1212 in original orange and yellow livery looks a bit out of place but the line has built up quite a collection of continental rolling stock
