A day out in the beautiful town of Stamford an easy 35 mile drive east of Leicester. The view from St Martin's Bridge over the River Welland & The Town Meadows.
It may be only a small fence but it's very important if it prevents those kids from falling in the river!
HFF to everybody. Have a great weekend.

In between the showers the sun did shine and I managed to get this shot of Belton House.
Belton is a Grade I listed country house built between 1685 and 1687 by Sir John Brownlow & cared for today by the National Trust.
HBM to everyone. Enjoy the start to the new week.

The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, near Doncaster, is the world's largest collection of preserved trolleybuses. It's actually located on what was RAF Sandtoft, an abandoned Second World War airfield.
Sunday was the 60th anniversary of the formation of the British Trolleybus Society and the museum ran services with some of the society's fleet. In the afternoon this line-up was arranged for photographers.
Right to left are BTS vehicles: South Shields 204, Huddersfield 631, Reading 113, Manchester 1344 and privately owned Nottingham 506. Full details & histories of the fleet can be found at www.britishtrolley.org.uk/bts-fleet-list .

A shot from my Mosquito Experience day visit at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre last year. De Havilland Mosquito HJ711, preserved as a night fighter variant, has just been fired up for its second taxi around the site. The Wooden Wonder and its twin RR Merlins looked & sounded great.

This level crossing sign was very apt as we were being pulled by a steam engine!

The star of the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre's flying programme for me was the display by Duxford's rebuilt Bristol Blenheim F1 L6739.
The aircraft was first restored in 1987 as a Mark IV aircraft but unfortunately, the Blenheim crash-landed in August 2003 at Duxford. While the aircraft suffered considerable damage, she wasn’t broken beyond repair and as a Mark 1 nose had been acquired already it was decided to rebuild it as the early version. It made it's maiden flight in this guise in November 2014.
