English Heritage are the custodians of the semi-ruined Elizabethan Kirby Hall near Corby although the building and gardens are still owned by the Earl of Winchilsea. Built as an Elizabethan country house in 1570 it was bandoned in the 1880s the house is now in a semi-ruined state. HWW to everybody. Have a great day.

El Partal an early 14th-century Moorish palace. Dating back to the 13th century the fortress and palace of the Alhambra is a fabulous mix of islamic and christian architecture. After years of neglect and attempts to destroy it by napoleonic troops the complex has been restored & is Spain's most visited site. HBM to everyone. Enjoy the start of the new week.

The Alhambra Palace is one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world. This shot was taken at sunset from the Mirador de San Nicolás. I was not the only one recording this view...

The 15th century Hôtel-Dieu at Beaune remained in use as a hospice run by nuns until the 1980s when it moved to modern hospital buildings. Today it is a museum. HFF to everone and have a great weekend.
