Early morning mist hangs in the glens while the rising sun turns the mountain tops red. Seen from the window of the Euston to Fort William sleeper train pulled by EWS Class 67 diesel 67007 which I had taken from Crewe the night before. One of the delights of taking the Scottish sleeper trains, whether to Aberdeen, Inverness or Fort William (I have slept on all three), is waking up at about 07.00 and opening the window blind to stunning scenery like this. A great way to start any day!

A foggy winter's day as British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 heads south. 8F 2-8-0 48305 on a Wedding Charter is held at the Down Inner Home and Rob the driver gives us a wave as he walks to the SPT to contact the signalman.

Seen from the open window of the Euston to Fort William sleeper train just south of Bridge of Orchy station on the West Highland Line. I had caught the sleeper from Crewe the night before and we were pulled by EWS Class 67 diesel 67007.

Atmosphere! Seen in a foggy Loughborough shed yard, visiting engines S15 4-6-0 506 and British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73082 Camelot being prepped on shed at Loughborough on the last morning of the Winter Gala weekend. I was pulling down coal in the tender after lighting up.

An atmospheric winter morning in Loughborough. We are taking water on British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 before departing with our train to Leicester. It may be lost in the mist but a fence is close by! HFF everyone and enjoy the Easter weekend.
