An evening walk through old Aylestone. The view from the 13th century St Andrew's churchyard of the farmhouse on Old Church Road which is dated 1723. Aylestone was a village 3 miles south of the city from Saxon times until 1891 when it was incorporated into the Borough, now city, of Leicester.

Under a beautiful evening sky we were heading from St Meryn to Padstow for dinner.
