GWR Manor 4-6-0 7828 Odney Manor double-headed with Modified Hall 6990 4-6-0 Witherslack Hall on the recent Photo-charter. The pair burst from under Rabbit Bridge - GCR Bridge 347. The conditions on this grey & rainy day weren't perfect for the charter but both locos looked and sounded immaculate.

British Railways Standard 2 2-6-0 78018 cruising up the recently cleared embankment at KInchley with the 11.55 ex-Loughborough train. HFF to everyone. Have a great weekend!

British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0 73156 passes the Kinchley cutting and its recent clearance with the 15.15 ex-Loughborough. After many years walkers on the footpath on the right have a clear view of trains once again. Plus of course the passengers on the train have a clear view of the fence again! HFF to everyone & enjoy the weekend.

Sunset over Swithland reservoir seen in the afternoon returning home after our lineside clearance turn. You would have to look very carefully to realise that the Great Central Railway viaduct crosses the reservoir in the left distance. HFF to everyone & enjoy the weekend.

Against all the odds the sun shone over the GCR's January Gala & after signing off I made for Kinchley lane to capture the two British Railways Standard 5 4-6-0s: visiting 73082 Camelot & 73156, on the 13.45 train to Leicester. I had been rostered on 73082 in the morning and we did run double-headed with 73156 on the freight from Swithland but tender-first. I admit it's only a small fence!!
