The Severn Valley Railway with Ivatt 2 2-6-0 46443 and Hunslet WD 0-6-0ST 193 Shropshire simmering away in the engine shed yard at Bridgnorth. Fifty years ago the station was very quiet and no-one was enjoying a rest on that even older, probably Victorian wooden railway bench. HBM to everyone on Ipernity. Ex-War Department Austerity 0-6-0ST WD 191, built by Hunslet in 1952, works number 3791, fills its tank with water at Tenterden Town station. My one and only (so far!) visit to the KESR, fleeting at that.

Austerity 0-6-0ST No.22 visited the GCR from the South Devon Railway once before, in the early part of 2012. It was built for the National Coal Board West Wales Area spending most of its working life at Graig Methyr Colliery, Pontardulais. Photo taken from footplate of Southern N15 777 Sir Lamiel.
