I went looking for a kiln that I had spotted from afar four years earlier in the vicinity of Crosby Ravensworth, not very far from Shap. The weather was atrocious when I started the long walk and the light was fading when I finally happened upon this beauty. I decided to shoot this one as the rain continued to fall and never found the one I was initially seeking. By the time I reached the car the clouds had parted and the sun was beating down! I think I missed at least two kilns up there and will have to return soon to photograph them too.
