Taking in the sights in one of the quiet streets of the World Heritage listed old town of Quedlinburg.

First steam departure of the day from the interchange platform at Quedlinburg. The link to this town from Gernrode along the trackbed of the former standard gauge line was completed in 2006.

In 2006 the Selke Valley Railway was extended to Quedlinburg by regauging the abandoned standard gauge DB line between Gernrode and Quedlinburg. This allowed exchange of traffic once again with the national system and the opportunity to photograph this Mallet leaving Quedlinburg with a morning train.
