Teneral Four-spotted Chaser seen today whilst out in Delamere Forest. There were dozens of these insects both flying and emerging.

A newly emerged male Black Darter ( Sympetrum striolatum ) having just alighted after its maiden flight at a pool in Delamere Forest this morning. This is the earliest date that this species has been recorded on the wing in Cheshire.
