Boxing Day sees the Cheshire Hunt parading in the High Street at Tarporley. Every year the protests grow against this organisation that continues to pursue and kill foxes whilst pretending to trail hunt. These are just a few of those who lined a section of the street to make their views known. The response from hunt support was typically violent as they attacked at least one person for daring to oppose them. The protestors did not respond and continued to focus on making their point. Later in the day the hunt chased two foxes but both seem to have escaped due to interventions by hunt saboteurs and monitors.

The station may be long gone but the signal box survives on the line between Crewe and Chester.
