QJs 7041 and 7009 start the eastbound descent of the Jinpeng section of the Jitong Railway as they set off from the summit loops at Shangdian with a coal train.

Another memory of the Jitong Railway with QJs 6808 and 6925 eastbound approaching the summit at Shangdian.

At the summit of the Jinpeng section of the Jitong Railway, the loops at Shangdian always made me think of Blea Moor. Of course Blea Moor is slightly wetter than Shangdian! One of the visual bonuses on some sections of this newly built railway were the semaphore signals such as these at the east end of the station as QJs 7041 and 7009 head for the summit tunnel a short distance away.
