The Crompton Road Mill was erected in 1823 by Watters and Lund to house powered cotton looms. At some point prior to 1910 the name was changed to Alma Mill (which is confusing as there is an Alma Mill on Pickford Street). This small office building clearly dates from around 1900 or a bit after. The etched glass over the door is a nice survival.
