Aggregate Industries, a US based company, operate the Topley Pike Quarry under the Bardon Aggregates banner. A climb to the top of the hill at the end of Deep Dale yielded this overview of the crushing and processing plant. The quarry lies to the rear left and appears to have few reserves left.

The Peak National Park authorities do not appreciate the quarry industry when it operates within the park boundaries. Here at Topley Pike at the edge of Deep Dale and Wye Dale the whole hillside has been removed apart from two narrow ridges stretching out to the crushing plant and tarmacadam works.
