Class 2MT 78018 shortly after arrival at Wirksworth during the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's 2024 New Year steam gala. The crew were preparing to uncouple and run round their train.

This art-deco clock is to be seen on the face of the Memorial Hall in Wirksworth. The hall was opened in April 1935 as the Cavendish Cafe and Dance Hall alongside a the new cinema. I am unable to say whether the clock is contemporary with the opening of the building, but it certainly looks the part.

A little bit of glint on Standard Tank 80080 awaiting departure from Wirksworth during the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's New Year steam gala. This line proved to be a very friendly operation and has plenty of interest for the visitor.
