Properties with little time left on Great Portwood Street, Stockport, at the junction with Peter Street. It's not difficult to spot which one was the car paint shop.

There aren't many listed buildings in Cleator Moor, but this late 19th century block on High Street drew the attention of the historic buildings officers. It is listed Grade II. Business was not particularly thriving.

This building has a bit of everything - terracotta pinnacles, gables, dormer, brickwork, and stone lintels and sring courses. A crazy piece of excess; I love it!
Clarence Arcade

Clarence Arcade, Stamford Street Central, Ashton-under-Lyne, is Tameside's only covered Victorian shopping arcade and was built in 1893. As the focus of shopping moved away from Stamford Street the arcade fell on hard times but has now been refurbished and many of the former shops are now offices. Inside it is eerily quiet and devoid of people.

Sanders Buildings provides for a range of commercial and residential occupancy. Completed in 1894 this distinctive building stands at the junction of Haywood St and Derby St in Leek. The building was designed for William Sanders by one of the Sugdens in 1894. Mr Sanders, a florist and seedsman and Mr William Mears, an outfitter, both occupied the premises. The building later became known locally as Mears' Corner when James Mears, William Sander's nephew took over the florists business, and shared the premises with Mear's clothiers. The Sanders Buildings became Mears the greengrocers in later years.
