I went walking last night in the mist and murk of a dull wet day. In Macclesfield Forest as we passed Standing Stone, the clouds began to lift and revealed this view over to Tegg's Nose with Ridgegate Reservoir just showing above the trees on the left. View On Black

When I visited Hatfield Main there were several power stations visible from the spoil tips. This is Eggborough with a long cloud emanating from the cooling towers.

The big skies to be seen around the Irish boglands were particularly dramatic as I was travelling east on the Grand Canal not far from Shannon Harbour.
