The Moon in a Third Quarter phase. Sometimes called a Last Quarter Moon, this phase occurs roughly 3 weeks after the New Moon when the Moon is three quarters of the way through it's orbit around the earth. If you live in the Northern hemisphere the Moon's left side will be illuminated and the right side will be dark. The light / dark areas will be reversed in the Southern hemisphere. Camera: Nikon D300s. Lens: AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED (equivalent to 450mm on a full-frame camera). Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

The Solar eclipse on March 20th 2015, photographed at maximum (approximately 90% coverage) 63 minutes after the start. Camera Sony RX100 compact and processed with Nikon Capture NX2. The eclipse (at my location) started at 8.30 a.m. and ended at about 10.40 a.m., reaching maximum at approximately 9.33 a.m.
