25 Jul 2015 19 13 1477
Newly-mown fields near the village of Winewall in the district of Pendle, North-West England. In the distance about 5 miles away is Pendle Hill which gives its name to the area and is the location of the famous / infamous "Pendle Witch" events of 1612. It is also where George Fox in 1652 claimed to have had his vision whilst on the summit which led to the formation of "The Religious Society Of Friends", better known as the "Quakers". The Pendle area has a long-standing connection with the movement and there is also a Quaker study, retreat and conference center named "Pendle Hill" located in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, USA. This is the view looking North-East and Blacko Tower can just be seen in the distance (see NOTE). www.ipernity.com/group/england
