One of the many grey squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) in Victoria Park near the town of Nelson in North-West England. These squirrels, although wild, are quite unafraid of people and many of them will even let you hand-feed them. Photographed with a Nikon D300s camera fitted with a AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

A Grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) gathering Hazelnuts, photographed in Victoria Park near the village of Barrowford in the North-West of England. Many of the squirrels here are quite relaxed around people and will often allow you to hand-feed them, as this one did. Slightly out-of-focus as I didn't use a fast-enough shutter speed (it was a dull day) and these animals move very quickly. Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2 software.
