A different viewpoint of one of my earlier uploads. This is an Autumnal view of the Leeds-Liverpool canal between Nelson and Brierfield in Lancashire, North-West England, photographed "Contre-Jour" in late afternoon light. The ground here was covered in fallen leaves and seed-pods from the trees which made a nice contrast with the greens and yellows of the foliage. The lens I used wasn't really wide enough so I took two photographs from slightly different angles to get everything in. Photographed with a Sony RX100 camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

Although we're almost in the middle of October, today was one of the hottest days of the year so far and many of the broad-leaf trees are still clothed in leaves.....it was more like mid-Summer than Autumn / Fall.
