This 16th Century Tudor Manor House situated in the hamlet of Wycoller was the inspiration for "Ferndean Manor" in the novel "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte (it was used to illustrate the 1st edition). Charlotte and her family lived in the Parsonage at Haworth, just a few miles from here and she and her sister Emily are known to have visited Wycoller many times during their walks on the moors.

A clapper bridge is an ancient form of bridge found on the moors of Devon (Dartmoor and Exmoor) and in other upland areas of the United Kingdom including Snowdonia and Anglesey, Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire. It is formed by large flat slabs of stone, often granite or schist, supported on stone piers (across rivers), or resting on the banks of streams. Although often credited with prehistoric origin, most were erected in medieval times and some in later centuries. They are often situated close to a ford where carts could cross.

The "Panopticon atom", situated on a hill-top above the village of Wycoller in Pendle District, Lancashire, in the North-West of England.
This Panopticon is an "arts and regeneration project" of the East Lancashire Environmental Arts Network. It involved the construction of a series of 21st-century landmarks or Panopticons (structures providing a comprehensive view) across East Lancashire, England, as symbols of the renaissance of the area. Four large-scale sculptures were commissioned, designed and constructed over a six year period for the districts of Blackburn, Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale. "The Halo" in Haslingden (Rossendale) was the last sculpture in the series to be erected in 2007".

The packhorse bridge in the Pendle village of Wycoller. This bridge is one of three ancient bridges in Wycoller and a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. The footpath over this bridge has been eroded by centuries of use (mainly by clog-wearing hand-loom weavers in pre-industrial times) and is deeply grooved. Both arches are leaning slightly sideways as the result of many years of heavy use.
