Vandaag was de IJtunnel geopend voor fietsverkeer. Wegens een staking in het OV voeren er geen ponten over het IJ en het Noordzeekanaal, fietsers zouden aangewezen zijn op de verder naar het oosten liggende Schellingwouderbrug. Amsterdam besloot daarom de IJtunnel af te sluiten voor auto's. Voor fietsers was in elke buis één strook ter beschikking, voor hulpdiensten was de andere strook gereserveerd. Dit is vanaf Noord naar het centrum. Let op de verkeersborden. - - - Today the IJtunnel was opened for bicycles. Due to a strike in public transport there were no ferries over the IJ and over the Noordzeekanaal and therefore cyclists would have had to use the bridge Schellingwouderbrug which is further to the east. Amsterdam decided to close the IJtunnel for cars. Voor cyclists there was a one way lane in each tube, the other lane was reserved for emergency services. This is from Noord (North) to the centre.
