A Winter Past

Taken near our home, some years ago, using a Mamiya 4B rangefinder camera. This was taken on 200ASA colour negative film, and developed as a black and white negative in Diafine. The deep brown dye layer of colour films makes them difficult to scan, but the results are often interesting.

Taken earlier this year when I was trying stand development with two bath developers. This redundant farm cart is used as a permanent floral display outside the local church, but of course, in February there are no flowers !
Interesting that this design was so common in many Euoropean countries - this one is French, but almost identical ones were once seen in Britain, Spain, Holland, and Germany.
Mamiya ZM Quartz, f2.8/35mm Sekor E lens, x2 yellow filter. Polypan F in Thornton's Two Bath, 15sec agitation and then stand for 6mins stand in both bath A & B. Scanned @2400dpi on Epson V500

The previous two photos were taken with folders, but this was with a TLR, my ancient and battered Mamiya C2, which I still have. Although heavy and rather unwieldly, these are one of the best tlr's ever made, and the only one with interchangeable lenses, which are world class !
Guiting Power is a village in the Cotswold Hills, north of Cheltenham, and the church is a little way out of the town. Originally 12thC, it was extensively renovated and much altered during the 19thC, but the restorers kept this rather grand Norman doorway.
Mamiya C2, f2.8/80mm Sekors. Shanghai GP3 @ 200, developed in Thorntons Two Bath, 4 + 4 mins @21C
