Using old timber I sourced for free off "Freecycle" when I was enclosing the back yard.

This was the column damaged by the tree falling down in the back yard. I had one spare and used that to fix the fence at the time. This has now come in handy.

It's being cut into pieces to use as packing under the bottom timber plate so the bottom timber plate doesn't sit directly on the concrete, the packer allows water to escape under the bottom plate.
