Yosemite National Park is an astounding place to visit!

Unobstructed

Fortunately, the minimalist fence does not block the spectacular view. It also does not provide much security for absent minded photographers focusing their cameras, who may tumble the 1,000 meters to Yosemite Valley below. The Grim Reaper (Half Dome) sees all. This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera with a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 1:3.5/55mm lens using Kodak Ektar 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Half Dome

Although this geologic formation in Yosemite National Park is commonly referred to as Half Dome, I have my doubts. It certainly looks like an alien sculpture of the Grim Reaper (without the scythe). A conspiracy theory is brewing!! This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord LMX Chiyoko TLR and Seikosha-MX Rokkor 75mm f/3.2 & 3.5 lens using a 49mm Hoya R72 Infrared filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.

Dream-Flying

Have you ever had a dream that you were flying? Soaring effortlessly high above the earth. Looking down at the beautiful mountains below. A dream in a special kind of black and white surreal vision that simply glows . . . This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord LMX Chiyoko TLR and Seikosha-MX Rokkor 75mm f/3.2 & 3.5 lens with a 49mm Hoya R72 Infrared filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.

One of the perks of being a tour guide (with a film camera or two) This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord LMX Chiyoko TLR medium format film camera and Seikosha-MX Rokkor 75mm f/3.2 & 3.5 lens with a 49mm Hoya R72 Infrared filter attached to a 30mm to 49mm bayonet TLR adapter using Rollei IR 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitalized by Photoshop.
