In the Heat of the Day

During the intense heat of mid-day, shade provided by a cottonwood tree is such a relief. Recorded Time

People record time by measured units so as to chronicle its passage. Certain events such as a New Year are observed and celebrated by much of mankind. Nature also keeps a record of time, chronicling its passage in the layers of rock, the rings of trees and many other methods as the seasons come and go. However it is recorded, time marches relentlessly onward into the future. Confession

Yes, I hopped the fence pictured in the lower left side of this photo. I could not help it! The view was so much better from this vantage point. Forgive my trespass . . . Just as an added feature, I challenge the viewers to find my travel companion, Bob, in this colorful landscape. He also hopped the fence . . . we are both guilty! There is no prize for discovering Bob other than the personal satisfaction that you might gain from your keen power of observation.
