Hidden high on a remote Mojave desert plateau is the Realm of Joshua, an ancient arid woodland located below the mysterious New York Mountain range. Due to it’s isolation and primitive roads,visitors are rare. The journey into the mountains, though difficult, is full of rewards found in the solitude of undisturbed nature. This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and SMC PENTAX 67 1:4 45mm lens with a Pentax 67 82ø Y48(Y2) SMC filter using Ilford Delta 400 Pro film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Love is in the air. Springtime brings offerings of sweet flowers. Even those with thorny personalities rise up to the occasion.
