Interplanetary Visitor

With all of the recent revelations about aliens visiting Earth, I was not overly surprised to meet one the other day as I strolled down the neighborhood street. Even though he was armed to the teeth (if he had teeth, that is), he seemed like a friendly interplanetary visitor. After exchanging pleasantries we went our own ways.

Peril Lurks Around Every Corner
It is a dangerous world out there! The headlines are full of violence and hate crimes. Paranoid citizens are stockpiling weapons and barricading themselves behind fortress-like residences. It is a lethal risk just shopping at the mall or enjoying a drink at the local club.
That is why I have hired security to accompany me when I must leave my residential stronghold. So far, I have experienced no problems. In fact, merchants quickly agree to my request for a senior discount!

Elven Plea

Elves are known for being elusive to the point where they are considered mystical beings. They only emerge from their secret realm when dire circumstances threaten the world.
Under this state of affairs, a representative of the elven council has appeared seeking an audience with the rulers of the Upper World. Surprisingly, I have been chosen to contact the world’s leaders with an urgent plea to stop humanity’s destructive ways that threaten all life on Earth.

As if it is not bad enough fighting off a world pandemic, Godzilla has again arrived and he is fuming. The crazed radioactive lizard must have sensed that we were preoccupied with other issues and had let our defenses down. With the population largely sheltering in isolation, the attack was a complete surprise. The hoards of young Spring Break beachgoers were the first ones to witness the hideous beast as he made landfall. Sadly, there were no survivors.
Now the ghastly brute is loose, running amok, terrorizing the population. Surely, this is a sign of the End Times. Even though I am under order to shelter at home, I felt obliged to venture outdoors to take this solitary photo of the savage reptilian so as to get out the warning to my fellow citizens. Make peace with your God now, for the end is surely approaching!

Ark of Sebastopol

Cultures across the globe have flood stories, recording how their people and animals survived the inundation. Here in Sebastopol, California, last year's unprecedented rains saw floodwaters isolating communities and cutting off access to the outside world. Once again, Noah gathered his flock and set sail to begin anew after the waters receded.

Super Bee

I am pitching a new super hero figure, Super Bee, for a new movie blockbuster.
A genetic freak produced accidentally by attempts from scientists to save the honey bee from extinction, Super Bee has a nuclear sting and can fly at supersonic speeds. Like all super heroes, he is a champion of justice - criminals tremble at the buzzing sound of his approach. Super Bee's only weakness is the scent of honey, however.
Yes, the screenplay needs a bit of work . . .

Out of Control

Today, news photographer and conspiracy theorist, Scott Holcomb (who has never even had one Pulitzer Prize nomination), risked it all to bring the world this breaking news story. Godzilla has arrived in California and is currently rampaging through Sonoma County. Residents are urged to panic and to immediately race onto gridlocked roadways. Terror is rapidly spreading throughout the region as the army is preparing to confront this hideous monster.
May God save us all from doom!!
