In the Northern Hemisphere of our planet, winter is moving steadily towards the annual Spring Equinox as Summer awaits patiently for the solstice beyond. Like a mirror in reverse, those of you in the Southern Hemisphere will soon see the Autumnal Equinox arrive with Winter waiting in the background. Happy Seasons! Memorial Court

The Civic Center of San Francisco displays Neoclassical architecture on a grand scale. The impressive gilded fence has, however, not been successful in keeping a tiny virus away! Rule Britannia

New skipper, Boris, begins not only with a messy serving of Brexit on his plate, but also finds himself on watch over the troublesome issue of tit-for-tat shipnappings in Gibraltar and in the Persian Gulf. House of Peace

A white house (signifying purity and goodness) with a peace sign in it's window is taking no chances, as it stands behind an imposing wall topped by a wrought iron fence. This photo was taken by a Kowa/SIX medium format film camera with a Kowa 1:4/40mm lens and Asahi Pentax ø100 Skylight filter + adapter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Super Bee

I am pitching a new super hero figure, Super Bee, for a new movie blockbuster. A genetic freak produced accidentally by attempts from scientists to save the honey bee from extinction, Super Bee has a nuclear sting and can fly at supersonic speeds. Like all super heroes, he is a champion of justice - criminals tremble at the buzzing sound of his approach. Super Bee's only weakness is the scent of honey, however. Yes, the screenplay needs a bit of work . . . Out of Control

19 Jul 2018 1 1 594
Today, news photographer and conspiracy theorist, Scott Holcomb (who has never even had one Pulitzer Prize nomination), risked it all to bring the world this breaking news story. Godzilla has arrived in California and is currently rampaging through Sonoma County. Residents are urged to panic and to immediately race onto gridlocked roadways. Terror is rapidly spreading throughout the region as the army is preparing to confront this hideous monster. May God save us all from doom!!
