The eruption laid waste to 600 km2 and created the brightly colored, fantastically sculpted rocks at Hole in the Wall, pictured here. This photo was taken by a Yashica Electro 35CC film camera and COLOR-YASHINON DX 1:1.8 f=35mm lens with a Pro 52mm (UV) Japan filter using Kodak 135 Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 (6200dpi) and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Zion Kolob Canyon

Taken last March by a venerable old friend, my Yashica Electro 35CC. I bought this camera in Sri Lanka from an itinerant German traveler in need of funds in 1974. It traveled the world with me, recording countless adventures. I am pleased to say that we are still both functional. This photo was taken by a Yashica Electro 35CC and COLOR-YASHINON DX 1:1.8 f=35mm lens with a Pro 52mm (UV) Japan filter using Kodak 135 Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 (6200dpi) and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
