Evidently, there has been a bit of evaporation since the Trona Tufa Pinnacles (tufa formations) were formed deep under the surface of Searles Lake many millennia ago.

This horse corral seems to be from an era long past. The camera that captured the image produces photos that seem to come from the 1930s. Both the haze on the lens and need for recalibration of the focus give the photo a true vintage look.
Taken by a 120 format ZEISS IKON - Nettar 515/2 rangefinder film camera and a NETTAR-ANASTIGMAT 1:6.3 f=10.5 cm lens using Fomapan 200 Creative film, the 6X9 negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
